"Kari! Can you hear me?!"

Oh, Arceus! What does anybody need to do to get some sleep around here? It was way too early for this kind of ruckus. The feisty blonde's shouting had shaken her awake. She yawned tiredly and tried to lift herself off her bed. Her arms trembled and she fell; the bluenette made no other attempts to get up again.

Her eyes fluttered drowsily to her bedroom window. Unfortunately for her, it was open. Arceus, help her! "Jun!" she screamed. "Shut up! You know I need-"

"No can do, Kari Kari!" He chided loudly, stuffing his body through the window. After all these years, it was obvious he would grow; eventually, he wouldn't even be able to fit through her window. Thank the lords for that.

"You know what today is?" he smiled, showing off his pearly whites. Jun's smile was exceptional. He smiled so hugely she could almost see all his teeth and gums. It was brilliant, bright, and happy.

"No," she grumbled, tousling her already messy hair.

"You're probably wondering what today is," he said, walking around her bed to face her. Dramatically, he ripped a small paper out of his jean pocket, literally shoving it into her face.

"Today I'm gonna be a billionaire!" he declared overconfidently. In his hand was a lottery ticket. Hikari groaned. "Jun, for the umpteenth time, buying a lottery ticket a day isn't going to make you win. You've been trying for three years straight and-"

"I know, I know," he interjected. "But today I got a feeling it's this one!"

"You always say that!"

He ignored her and flipped out a coin to scratch the ticket. She spat in distaste and turned over, making herself comfortable again. When she was finally dozing off, she heard a low whisper.

"Holy crap, Kari."
